Congratulations, Wendy! Our 2020 Nurse of the Year!

Congratulations to Wendy, our Nurse of the Year for 2020! Wendy has been an amazing nurse this year and has stepped up to every challenge handed to her. Wendy continued to work throughout the COVID pandemic and was an incredible asset to the clients and facilities she worked with.

We spoke to Wendy about her win and here’s what she had to say:

How do you feel being chosen as our nurse of the year?

It is an honor to be considered for this prestigious award. I am incredibly grateful.

What has it been like working through the COVID pandemic?

It has been a rollercoaster of emotions, but when I see the hard work that we as nurses put in and our patients come out alive, it is worth the fight.

What have you learnt this year?

I have learned that life is truly something to appreciate and family and friends are always needed. Life is short so make use of it while you are alive.

What do you enjoy about working through Thornbury Nursing?

I enjoy the flexibility and the benefits that Thornbury Nursing offers. I have more than one option for the length of each contract and the pay is great. Staff are very understanding and kind. Any problems you have they will help to solve it.

Thank you for being an amazing Thornbury nurse, Wendy!
